This week we will put up a hyped and marketed recipe. The good thing is that its worth its hype and buzz. It does not owe its roots to India but the taste will definitely appeal to our pallete because most of the ingredients used are very commonly used by us in the daily cooking. Pumpkin pie spice This is of North American origin when pumpkin was used a filler in pies they made. Because pumpkins are naturally abundant in winters this pie was a symbol of harvest. Slowly the pie started being associated with harvest and winter. Pumpkin pie spice as the name indicates is the spice mix that goes into the making of the pie. Its been made very famous by Starbucks and is one of the most demanded drink by its customers. If you have thoroughly followed our recipe page and blog you will have most of the ingredients needed for it else we will recap it Get cinnamon, ginger,nutmeg,AllSpice,Cloves from the general store. After a few days I got bored of a sweet beverage or even black coffee. I wanted a sharp spicy one to kick start my day and then came ginger. The taste just cuts through you in the morning. It wakes you up like no other and I found it an excellent way to warm up for the day ahead or refresh from a tiring exercise or play Just Curiosity ... that's it ? Ginger and coffee work wonders especially black. Ginger is a known and proven pain reliever Coffee relaxes and rejuvenated muscles. So ginger and coffee together in one shot – will brighten up things more than you think So its different , its not the sweet sticky thick traditional south Indian filter coffee which is wildly famous. Its rather the complete contrast of it. Thin, Black (preferably) , sharp with a mild sting. If you have been used to sweet start mornings then it might be a drastic. Chicory a major ingredient in coffee normally has a flavor which is fruity or floral in nature. Hence ginger with a chicory blend coffee might be forcing things together. So take due note of it. Try it out and get back on how it was. Its Ginger + Coffee , its not Ginger + Hot milk. The local shops serve milk with ginger named ginger coffee for some reason.
